Which ports to forward?
My Fongo has worked fine from day one without forwarding any ports to the ATA. Will I run into any issues if I don't do any port forwarding? Could it help with quality of calls at all? I find I can hear most people fine, but they complain now and then that I am cutting out quite a bit. I figure it's because of my slow internet. I am on 2mbps, but usually get around 1.5mbps. Unfortunately it's the fastest I can get.

Re: Which ports to forward?
Ports to forward (UDP) are 5060, 5061, 6060, 6061, 10000, 13000, 13001, 2000.
I used to have connection problems with a low speed Internet. All these problems were resolved when I switched to Bell Internet 15/10 and the sound quality is even higher than a conventional landline phone.
The modem/router need also to be QoS.

Re: Which ports to forward?
The last port is 20000, not 2000.
Sorry for the typo.

Re: Which ports to forward?
Ok I will do that right now. So will the port forwarding improve quality at all, or just reliability? I can't get anything higher than the 2mbps DSL that I have.

Re: Which ports to forward?
Port forwarding does not improve quality and all VOIP sites recommend a high speed connection in order to have a good quality sound.
