can not hear

Post by meokey »

Hello,

I had problems in the last few days not being to register to the server. Today, it in a sudden registers successfully, and I can make/receive local calls but can not make international calls. But I can not hear the other party while the other party can hear me without any problem.

I have port forwarding 5060-5072 and 13000-13001 configured on the router.

Please help. Thanks!

If your router has a feature called "SIP helper" or "ALG" try to disable it, I had this issue when I was new and that seemed to fix it for me

I have disabled the feature already.
I configured 4 SIPs on the same ATA box, the OBi202, FPL is one of them. I can make calls with others SIPs without any problem, so I guess router is not a problem?

This was my topic, same issue http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?t=5826

The problem was Fongo/FPL is incompatible with SIPalg, while every other provider I used works with SIPalg. So to accommodate fongo, I had to disable it.

Later, because I need to access fongo from two devices (my cell phone & landline), and FPL doesn't allow "sub accounts" for different devices, I had to put the trunk on a hosted PBX and create sub-accounts/ring groups there. FPL can require a lot more tweaking than usual, but with the exception of tonight, I haven't had any long outages before and the service has been excellent.

I think the server problem is still there, The person calling me can not hear my voice on all incoming calls.

Can the FPL team please reboot all the equipment or post a solution.

I know a lot of ppl saying it's SIP ALG problem, but I did disabled SIP ALG on my router, and FPL did work well before it failed to register several days ago when I was still enabling the firewall on the router... so I'm kinda confused and do not know how to resolve the issue on my side ....... I suspect the issue is on FPL side if they did some changes recently
