Hi, I am trying to register someone else with FPL but having an issue find them a local phone number. They are in Cornwall which is on the free calling list, but that city isn't on the list available to get a number from FPL.
Two questions: 1: is it possible to get one? 2: if it isn't, if I was to port her current number, would that still work? tx

Re: local phone number?
Hello,
Cornwall is available as a calling destination, but we do not yet offer it as an area we can provide any DID's in.
If you port in your number, although you would still own the number, it would not work as a Cornwall, but rather, it would become based out of the nearest city we can provide numbers in.

Re: local phone number?
thanks Mike, is it possible to send me a quick PM when/if Cornwall ever did get a DID? From what I understand from your reply, if we were to do this and port it, the ported number would no longer be local for Cornwall which means it is long distance for others.

Re: local phone number?
you will want to check back with us every 6 to 8 months to see if it has been added.
One option is to port your number now anyway. Let friends and familly know to let it ring two or three times then hang up. you could then call them back for free after looking at your call display (or, even better, get them to also sign up for an account)
