Dear FPL technical staff,
do you need help, as it appears that you guys can't find the glitch?
I don't need to say how much frustration this has brought to FPL users, but interesting thing is that you've been kept quiet and this is the mystery to all of us.
Your president's e-mail from 2-3 weeks back has no more sense, as you see it yourself now; problem is still here.
If I were you, I would rather try to go back "step by step" and try to isolate the issue, as it is appears, this has nothing with users configuration as your company president stated.
According to my opinion, you did some update/upgrade in mid December which messed things up.
I've received PM from one of your tech. support guys where he mentioned that you've been looking into the switch issue.
Another thing is "DoS Attack" on your SIP server, or something similar, as this was mentioned back in the past.
So, too many small things here and there, which can not be hidden from users, as I am sure, there are lots of people who are technical here and they see that something major is going on.
If you did switches firmware upgrade, or something similar, can't you revert back to more stable version?
I am asking this, as I've had once issue with our ISP who had switches that were having so many issues and even hardware maker was not able to fix them. They even had to get switches from another vendor.
So, everything is possible, but I think you would need to be more transparent to users in all this.
Thanks
Ongoing FPL issue

Re: Ongoing FPL issue
Hi Zoro,
Have you submitted a ticket with your details to the support team? Although they're a little backed up as we move to a new support system, the team is working hard to get caught up.

Re: Ongoing FPL issue
There is one thing, I'd like to share with FPL and that is "Disconnect Reason" after logging into my account on FPL site and looking "Call History".
I do see "Destination out of order" under the reason mentioned above and since all this started mid December, first message of that type I have was on Dec 27th.
Right about that time when all troubles started.
Just to mention, at that time, I was still having DD-WRT firmware on my router and after this I've put TomatoUSB what I've mentioned in the ticket which was opened with you guys.
All these messages above are associated to inbound calls only.
At the same time, I do see another error: "Switching equipment congestion" which is associated to my outbound calls only, which was happening only in period between 01.01.2013 - 07.01.2013.
I don't have syslog server setup, so that I can record every single outage I've had so far, but that's all I can provide which might be beneficial to you.
Thanks,
Zoro

Re: Ongoing FPL issue
I know you guys are angry with FPL or Fongo lately. Same here all the people I told them to switch to FPL or Fongo they called and complained to me.
I did not know what to say to them
I hope FPL or Fongo will say the reason of the issue lately

Re: Ongoing FPL issue
I don't know, if FPL engineers did anything since I had reported an issue, but for the last few days, if not a week, I haven't noticed any problems.
Let's hope it's OK.
Thanks,
Zoro

Re: Ongoing FPL issue
Unfortunately, it was to early to say that the issue has been fixed.
It seems not, as after coming home, around 6.05 PM, I've noticed green light on my ATA was off and then suddenly around 6.25 PM, I've received incoming call. All lights were green at that time.
I can't say since when light was off, as I just saw it by chance.
Overall, problem seems to be still here.
By the way, I have never received any feedback from tech support, even though I had provided all info when they asked me to do.
Yes, I did use the e-mail you guys asked me to use.
thx
