(I posted in someone else's thread on this subject, but have now decided that I should start my own.)
I did more testing of Fongo tonight and found the following:
All my testing was with the Fongo app active (green) and the phone on (Nexus 4 with Andorid 4.2.1). All of my testing was from a Bell cellular phone to my Fongo number.
1. On wifi it worked normally. Not sure why I had problems previously.
2. On 3G it took at least 4 rings before the Fongo app registered that there was an incoming call. Since it worked acceptably on wifi and not 3G, I will look into whether this has something to do with the quality of my 3G connection.
3. The Fongo app often started 'ringing' long after the caller had hung up. One time this was more then 60 seconds. I saw the same thing when I was trying a couple of days ago. Even if my 3G connection is poor, this shouldn't happen, so it is the reason I'm am writing this post. I actually consider this a minor issue - there is less harm in my answering my phone long after the caller hung up then in #2 which is what would actually cause me to miss the call.
