I have a freephoneline account and a fongo account. I sent 2 email requests for number porting (one to
porting@freephoneline.ca, another one to porting@fongo.com) in last week. Now almost 1 week has passed and I received no response at all . How long does it take to get a reply on porting request? I don't want to continue paying for my current cellphone line anymore!

Re: No response for number porting request?
Yes, that's where I found the contact email to initiate the porting request (porting@freephoneline.ca). however, as the help page indicates, someone should contact me to start the process. But nobody ever contacted me after that. I don't even know if anybody read my email. And I am still paying for my current phone service although I no longer needed it! If I cancelled my phone service last week, I could have avoided paying for another month bill... but now it's too late, and it's frustrating to wait forever for someone to get back to me. If I don't cancel within 2 weeks, I probably will end up with another month's bill soon!
P.S. just saw the L.O.A doc links you mentioned. That definitely helps. thanks a lot! But I now kinda lost the confidence in their customer service...

Cheer up, you don't actually need their customer service once you are PROPERLY set up. I have been with them almost 3 years now and never had the need for their customer service other than when my number porting was half-done each time, (but that is another story).c2chuc wrote: ... The second to the last statement in the linked thread, by no other than a VP, should give you a feeling of confidence in their customer service, should you need it.
