I'm pretty disappointed that FPL service has become so unreliable lately, and even more disappointed with how Fongo/FPL have dealt with (or rather not dealt with) the issue(s). Since I can not depend on my FPL line to be functioning, and have no idea how long these problems will last, I would like to forward incoming calls to a working line I have with voip.ms. Incoming calls to my voip.ms line are free if the incoming call is forwarded to my SIP address in the format 1234567890@server.voip.ms but are not free if the call is forwarded directly to the number 1234567890. I tried entering the SIP address in my "Follow Me" settings but the phone number field only seems to accept 10 digit phone numbers. Does anyone know of a way to forward a FPL number to a SIP address?

Re: FPL Forward To SIP
Try doing a master reset on your adapter, upgrading it to the latest firmware version and then entering only the fpl settings suggested by fpl.

Re: FPL Forward To SIP
Hey billcanada,
Thanks for the reply but I am not actually using an ATA. I have Asterisk (without any web interface) and am experiencing the same kinds of things that tbrummell is seeing in his posts earlier today here. I have a VERY simple Asterisk configuration with the two SIP trunks, two extensions, one ring group, one time condition, one funny donkey recording, a short blacklist, and one VM box. Aside from the nightly scheduled restart of Asterisk I have restarted it manually a plethora of times over recent weeks. My disruptions last anywhere from minutes to hours and usually my service is restored by doing nothing more than simply waiting. I have my dialplan setup to go through FPL using 7/10 digit dialing, and voip.ms when using a prefix of 9 followed by 10 digits. During my FPL outages I have no problems making calls using the same telephone, same network, same Asterisk box and same Internet connection that I am using for FPL (other than the fact that they are not free of course). I have setup my FPL line to forward to my voip.ms line in the event that I am "unavailable" which works if I am seeing the "Unallocated (unassigned) number" error message but not when I get the "Destination out of order" error message... or is the other way around? Either way, the forwarding sometimes does not work.
