Is there problem with Service Today?

Post by mjbad2 »

I changed to other PAP2 but still same. I can call other number and anybody call me goes to Answering service.
Changed the phones.

Now I can't login to service. Registration State: Can't connect to login server

Incoming is fixed by changing "use preferred coded only" to "no" - we are actively investigating what has caused this to happen out of nowhere.

Not connecting isn't related though, had no reports of that and my ATA on my desk is working just fine.

Good to know there is a temporary fix - I'm experiencing the same issues for the last 2-3 days - all incoming calls going to the voice mail directly.

Again, would be really great to post this type of thing on the Announcement board.... :)

Mine must be doing same for few days. But never checked as my Bell Landline was working fine.
I could talk to everybody so never had any incoming calls on my FPL Line.

Now the problem is no dial tone but a busy tone.

Very Strange. FPL has some serious issues. Unfortunately they lost two of my friends/customers to comwave. :(

All right, NOW there is (http://forum.freephoneline.ca/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=891), wasn't there at the time I wrote the note ;) (look at the timestamp)

Thanks! - I think it would help a lot to ppl experiencing similar issues (prob. even better would have been to post the actual 'fix' right in that message - setting 'Use Preferred Codec Only' to 'No', as it says otherwise in the setup manuals on the ATA config board).

Hi There,

I still have the issue, After going through this form, i thought of changing 'Use Preferred Codec Only' to 'No'. when i logged into config page , it was already defaulted to ''Use Preferred Codec Only' to 'No'', so i did change yes -> save and Again Changed to to NO, Still not able to receive the calls going to voicemail.

The workaround does not work for me.
Please fix the problem ASAP.

What happens on incoming calls - Keep in mind it's not a for sure fix, if you have other network problems you should take those into account first.

Hi there,

I m able to reveive the calls, I did reset to factory settings of my ATA, and input the required fields.

Please let us know any changes to be made on my ata once you are able fix the issue on your end.

Tx,
You won't need to do anything more on your end :)
Changing that setting will also resolve a few issues when calling into other VOIP systems as well - so it gets two birds with one stone
