Dell Voice Number/Account?

Hello, today I wanted to login to my dell voice account (dellvoice.ca) to change around some settings but now I am no longer able to since the website merely directs to fongo.com...Yes, I got the announcement about DellVoice simply becoming Fongo now but what does that mean for my account? My DellVoice account does not work on Fongo.com and I can't even attempt to recover my account because my email isn't registered with Fongo.com.

However, I am still able to make outgoing calls with my DellVoice number (that I want to keep the same) and it is correctly showing in app that my number is still associated with my email....Is there someway I can register on Fongo.com using the same email address and keeping the DellVoice number I am currently assigned? I don't seem to be able to do this myself so could someone manually fix/copy the account?

What I got from their announcement was that they were migrating everything over from DellVoice to Fongo, and this should be completed by the 31st January. Fongo has given us timelines before and those seem to have been 'flexible', but who knows.

Just hang tight until the 31st and see what happens. Hopefully by then everything will be moved over and we can all log into our DV accounts again. I really can't see them not allowing us to ever log into our accounts again, they must provide access one way or another. I expect they want to 'freeze' the database while they transfer/merge things. If it was left live then they would have to keep updating it - which shouldn't be that impossible, but it depends on how they have stuff set up.

I am worried about 2 things tho;

1) Not being able to make changes until the 31st. I use the followme function and I have changed my local number.

2) Losing my currently assigned dellvoice number as it is publically facing.

1. Do you have access to an Android or iDevice? If you do then load up the app and you can change your forwarding details from there. (Account -> Settings -> Call Forwarding)

2. It would be a company suicide if anyone lost their number through this change and I really don't think they are going to do it. Very few would have faith in the system if numbers were lost and people had to resign. IF, and I can only see it as a very small if (<< see what I did there? :D ), anyone did loose their number through the change, I am sure they would be more than willing to try their best to get it back for you. If there was some absolute catastrophe and everyone lost their numbers, well then they might as well shut up shop. The only other option would be to set up a small server farm to host this forum as I expect it will get massively popular instantly.


so - 1. try and log on with a mobile app and change your settings for now. 2. I wouldn't worry about.

Thanks for the reply and yes strangely, my DellVoice account still logs in fine through the Fongo app on my iPhone and it shows my correct email and my previously assigned number that I want to keep....

While I can reach the settings panel from inside the app, it unfortunetly doesn't give me access to everything as certain things you could only change through the DellVoice website which is currently offline :cry:

Hi folks,

You will not lose your accounts. We are having to make some adjustments to our account management system to allow our former Dell Voice users to log in to their accounts through the Fongo website. You should still be able to manage your accounts in the interim through a mobile device (iOS or Android) but as d4m1r mentions above, there are some functions that you can only access through the website at this point. We'll let you know as soon as full access has been restored. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the reply! So by our accounts being safe, do you mean our usernames/emails/passwords AND assigned DellVoice numbers will all be ported over to Fongo?

Yes, usernames/emails/passwords/assigned Dell Voice Numbers will not change.

I have same problem to log onto dellvoice.ca. I have Fax in my voicemail but I can't get it. Is there any way to get it now? Or, I will lost it forever. :?:

I think you will have to wait until the 31st, then you should be able to access it. I know it doesn't help you right now but I don't think they will be deleting things like this. If it is an important fax I would probably get the people to resend it to a local UPS store or something like that for the time being, or set up a temporary FPL account and forward the voicemails to your email and get them to resend it to that number. This way you will be sent the PDF or you can access it online.

Just wanted to confirm that accounts will be restored on the 31st? Meaning we could login to Fongo.com with our DellVoice.ca accounts, keep our same number, and access the FULL settings.

Would be devastating to my business if they would not be :(

Trust in Fongo restored....Now I can access Fongo.com with my old dell voice account and my # is still reserved :D
