Help With Setup Pls

Post by Shaf77 »

Hi There,

I have been tinkering around with my FPL setup (see details at this thread - http://www.redflagdeals.com/forums/sett ... ms-856269/).

My current issues are:

1. I still cannot setup any call fwd (selective or all dest)
2. I cannot use any vertical service activation codes.... When I try to use say *74 to setup a speedial ... It does nothing...

Any ideas on setting up call fwd and how I can use vertical service activation codes??

Also - has anyone been able to use sipbroker with FPL?

My dial plan is:

(911S0|[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|011[2-9]xx.<:@gw1>|<#1,:>x.<:@gw1>|<:18004664>411S0|<:416> 310xxxxS0|*xx|[*#x][*x].)

The only thing I could suggest is either to run a PBX on one of your computers (this is what I have done) or use www.sipsorcery.com

Sipsorcery will allow you to put many VOIP services to one account, and then you would set up a dialling plan to fire through certain services depending on which number you dial. You would then set up your ATA to connect to sipsorcery instead of FPL.

Sipsorcery would become like my PBX here (call router). A lot of people use them including me, but only for some UK incoming SIP numbers. There are some posts here about Sipsorcery which could be worth reading.

What happens when sipsorcery is down?

My main issues just now are just with call fwd and the vertical act codes... Even if I end up using sipsorcery, I want to still be able to get this to work... :)

SIP Sorcery has two gateways so they use one for redundancy purposes.

But if both DO go down your calls will just go to voicemail / route through Followme if you have it set up

Not much help on this forum...

I have had more help on the RFD forum where someone suggested that I remove "[*#x][*x]." to get activation codes to work.

Tried without "[*#x][*x]." and the activation codes work!!!

Here is my updated plan.... I had also removed "*xx"

(911S0|[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|1[2-9]xx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|011[2-9]xx.<:@gw1>|<#1,:>x.<:@gw1>|<:18004664>411S0|<:416> 310xxxxS0)

Should i leave "*xx" still there???

Speed dial works.

Call fwd still doesn't work....

I'm sorry you do not find this forum helpful, but this is a Freephoneline.ca support forum, with very limited technical support for third party software and hardware.

The responsibility of answering questions regarding third party devices or software is really up to the other users willingness to help, or as you said other support forums that are open for all support and not offered by or limited to a brand/company based.

My questions are related to FPL setup and config. How is this third party software / hardware? I am running a SPA ATA and using FPL.....

Call fwd does not work when setup on an ATA...

Are you able to get it work for you??

By third party I mean not purchased from us, sorry should have clarified.

What is happening when you enabled followme on your account through the web management tool?
