VMI isn't clearing properly after scheduled maintenance

Post by Liptonbrisk »

After scheduled maintenance, outgoing and incoming calls work.

Checking voicemail gets a busy signal.

If you have any problems with Voice-mail by dialing *98, I suggest now is the time to look around in the house/apartment for an answering machine and this can be used as an alternative as Fongo are scheduling updates & maintenance (as they previously announced on the forum) over the next few days.

Good Luck!

I think it is the voip.freephoneline.ca server. It works for me on the voip2.freephoneline.ca server.

What they advised was an outage between very specific times:
Start: Monday February 11th 2013, 01:00:00 AM ET
End: Monday February 11th 2013, 04:00:00 AM ET
Start: Tuesday February 12th 2013, 01:00:00 AM ET
End: Tuesday February 12th 2013, 05:00:00 AM ET

They didn't state voicemail would be down outside of those times.

Also http://status.fongo.com/ states voicemail is up.

No, it doesn't matter if I'm using voip or voip2.

Registration state of the ATA fails as soon as I dial *98 or my phone number.

My *98 voicemail has been down for two days now, too. I have been getting a reorder tone only (fast busy signal) when trying to access the system. Last time I checked was this morning at around 7:30.

Hopefully, this is related to their scheduled maintenance operations and the VM system will be back up soon. It would be super good if they fixed the announced time when the messages are left as the first announcement is usually GMT or some other weird time, instead of the local time. This has been like that ever since I signed up with FPL two years ago.

I think they fixed it just shortly after you last tested. From their announcement http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=7974 it looks like it was fixed around 9:00 am.

I tested mine and that seems to work now on the account I was having troubles with.

Give it another test now.

Now it's the opposite. Voice mail indicator is working.

Dialing *98 gives me, "Please hang up and try again."

MWI isn't clearing after deleting message at 11:45 a.m. est.

Voicemail access is back now. I turned the indicator off manually in my ATA.

Left another message. VMI took several minutes to indicate a new message was waiting (this is a longer interval than before the maintenance).

And after deleting the message, VMI is not clearing after a 4 minute wait.

I'm not really interested in VMI engaging, so much as I'm interested in it turning off after deleting a message.

At 9:29 p.m. EST voice mail indicator took 15 seconds to turn on after leaving a message.
But ten minutes after deleting the message the voice message indicator is still on.

I'm testing on voip2.freephoneline.ca

Maybe I'll trying voip.freephoneline.ca

Yeah, it's still not clearing properly.

So if other freephoneline users' voice mail indicator is turning off properly after deleting messages, my account is bugged.

I certainly didn't have this issue before scheduled maintenance.
