Sounds garbled after dialing on softphone

Post by bbgobie »

This happens on 2 different computers.

When using the softphone, if you press some numbers either dialing or after the call has started the sound is all garbled for a few seconds.

Especially annoying if you call an automated line and have to press in some numbers.

Is there any fix to this?

So this is a softphone only issue?

Just want to make sure, as I've been trying out the service and thinking of getting an ATA now. But this is one of the issues I'm having before making the change.

It's a softphone issue only. I believe our programmers said it was partially linked to Java and the overall codec negotiation process. However, it doesn't happen with ATAs.
