Does my friend I call get charged too?
If i call a friends cell phone in Canada using fongo which would normally be long distance, will they get charged long distance by their cell phone provider? (I am in Canada as well)

No they would not be charged long distance - the call would be treated as any other they receive, according to their cell phone plan. For example if they were pay as you go - it would count as minutes used.
