Hypothetically if i wanted to port my number out of FPL what happens to my SIP licensce, would i get a new number from FPL, would the account become inactive...
Not that I am planning to move it away, but I always wondered how that would work.

Re: Porting a number out of FPL
I have just ported my two FLP numbers away because I was tired of their unreliable service.
What happened was, the day the numbers were ported away I got a call from Fongo asking if I had requested the port. When I confirmed that I had they instantly closed my accounts. I lost any credit on the account and of course the SIP licenses.
I didn't care, I was just happy to have a reliable phone service again.
Hope that helps.

I understand
hope you will come back. I think most of the case that the router causes the problem

Re: Porting a number out of FPL
I have to agree with this assessment, I have been using FPL (now Fongo) as my primary phone service since 2008 and have never experienced any significant down-time that wasn't created by my own configuration testing.seagame2001 wrote:I understand

Today I run my account using 3cx. (I needed to test out the admin functions of 3cx for a client.) Maybe next will be Freeswitch.
At least you can always use the softphone for free when you're on vacation out of country
