Unknown Number

Post by rlongfield »

Suddenly (as of yesterday) when we call out our callerID says 'Unknown Number'. This happens on all our calls. As a side, Incoming callerID works just fine.

Try dialling *68 to deactivate caller ID blocking.

I'll have to give this a try. I just used my VOIP client on my cellphone to see if a number appears or not. It looks like the number is being passed from my VIOP client so it does appear it is related to something in the house.

It sounds like you might have activated caller ID blocking then. If *68 doesn't work, look in the ATA for your star codes as it might be different. It will say something along the lines of deactivate caller ID blocking though. *68 is the right code for my PAP2T so it should work on your ATA also.
