taking long time to connect

Post by new936 »

I got my old number ported on my linksys ATA today. So far it looks good that now I do not have to pay monthy bill :D

Does it take long time when you call other number or I can do some setting to reduce the time it takes. My outgoing caller ID shows the tel number & "unavailable". Can I set that also? Thanks.

One thing to check on the time it takes for the call to connect is the dial plan in the ATA. Make sure it is right otherwise I have found it does take a few seconds before it seems to give up trying to match it to one of the dial patterns and tries the call anyway.

Not sure on the caller ID, it seems to be different for everyone. I have seen a lot of posts about it.

Outgoing number will only be displayed, there's a sticky in general discussion about this.

My outgoing caller ID shows the tel number & "unavailable".
Do you mean it actually shows on the other parties Caller ID, [19055555555 (Unavailable)]

Thanks everyone for the quick replies. Yes Kris. It is like "Unavailable"

If I can get that working it is still fine, because it's my old number.

What about the calling time, can I decrease it and how?
