SIP 401 Unauthorized

Hello,

I have been using the service fine for about a month since I bought my SIP creds. Then all of a sudden about a few hours ago I'm now not able to register. Sometimes I am sometimes I'm getting 401. Then I see FreePhoneLine trying to end calls which I'm not even processing. I checked and the status page showed no outage/issues.

Finally just now as I'm trying this I'm seeing it stay registered I think and working again.

Check your registration and retry times. I think they start locking out accounts that try to either register or retry to register too often.

The settings page still shows between 180 and 3600, although now they say they want 3600.

If you are using a standard setup, then the registration time will be set at 120. Try changing this value in your sip.conf file to at least 180. I have mine set at 3600 and it is fine. I am also using the voip2 server that seems to be a little more stable.

I have made the suggested changes. Though once it resolved itself, I never had any further issues.
