Hi,
I'm wondering if buying a wireless ip phone is an good idea when switching to voip (instead of buying an ATA)? I'm (really) not a pro into this subject, but it seems that a machine coulds "talk" directly to my router's radio, if not to a radio plugged into one of my router's port.
I've seen some hardware on the net, but it seems to be old stuff/reviews (from a techno point of view).
Any input about that?
Regards,
wireless phone

I wanted one too. But they are usually expensive and the battery doesn't last long. Plus your call quality will be affected by your wireless connection. For the home use, cordless phone + ATA is much better choice.

Re: wireless phone
I agree with zombie999, ATA + cordless phone is often cheaper, less hassle, and sometimes much better sounding too.
I use our ATA with a Pansonic phone, the whole setup cost me less than $150 and is perfectly for the regular, long calls I make. Drop me a line if you're interested in our ATA and I can set you up with a sales rep to talk further.
