How can I increase my volume on a SPA3102?

Post by ma678 »

Hi there,
My recipient on the other end always complains my voice is too low to be heard, while his/her voice is ok for me. Is there a way to increase my volume on my SPA3102?

Does FPL support G711 codec? If so, should I use 711a or 711u?

Thanks.

We support all codecs, and I would look for FXS Port Gain on the incoming and outgoing:

FXS Port Input Gain:
FXS Port Output Gain:

My default settng in my ATA was -3 for both ports, and I've changed them to 0.

I've also changed SPA to PSTN to 2 and PSTN to SPA to 0.

I just put preferred codec as G711a in Line 1 and PSTN tab.

Hope it will work better.

Thanks.

If people you're talking now complain they can hear themselves, increased output gain is causing it. Just so you know.

I finally managed to change input gain to 1 and leave output gain -3.

SPA to PSTN and PSTN to SPA both gain 6.

So far no complain from anyone yet.

Thanks.
