Re: Home phone is down
Have you tried powering down the ATA and the router, waiting 5 minutes and then powering up the router and then, when the router has connected, powering up the ATA?

Re: Home phone is down
Issue resolved. Thanks Fongo support. ATA was "stuck" in registration. Clearing it fixed it.

I can't register to the server here in Ottawa. Is there an outage?
What does the previous poster mean by clearing the ATA, factory reset?

I'm back in business, seems to have been a temporary outage.

I think you posted in wrong thread, as per your signature- you have a OBI. This thread is for Fongo home Phone only, using HT701 Granddstream adapter.
Thanks,

Re: Home phone is down
Mine is also down...Been using FPL for years and its been great up til November 2012.
Ever since then its been issues non stop. I have some friends on this too and they too have had issues everytime i have had issues. Few friends on Fongo and few on FPL. Some with linksys PAP2T ata and some with the fongo provided ata....
This issue is definitely on their end, some change they made late 2012 is what is causing this...

Re: Home phone is down
Everytime I use voip.freephoneline.ca as my sip server, the line goes down and cannot register.
I change to voip2.freephoneline.ca and the line registers.
I switch back to voip.freephoneline.ca and the line goes down again.
Switch back to voip2.freephoneline.ca and line is working.
There must be something wrong with the SIP server... not my ata configuration...

Can you please open a command prompt on your laptop or desktop pc and type this:
nslookup voip.freephoneline.ca
Make a screenshot of the output and post it here.

Re: Home phone is down
I concur with Ketan1988 regarding the use of voip.freephoneline.ca as the primary SIP server. I can register with it but it won't maintain registration for long...perhaps 2hrs (i've never timed it). Switching to voip2.freephoneline.ca, i have better luck but have noticed once that it wasn't registered, fluke perhaps, i'll have to wait and find out.Ketan1988 wrote:Everytime I use voip.freephoneline.ca as my sip server, the line goes down and cannot register.
