Keeping service active
I've read that you have to use Fongo number once every 3 months to keep the number active. That use to be when it was voice only. I was wondering if that now includes texting as well? Can you text once every 3 months to keep the number alive instead of calling?

Re: Keeping service active
Maybe Fongo Support can confirm this, but I would have though that hat having the app logged in would keep it active.

Re: Keeping service active
As understand it before texting was available, you had to make at least one call every 3 months to keep it active. Keeping logged in is not using it, I think.
Some one please confirm both texting and and just logged in as a way to keep the service active.

Re: Keeping service active
I would like to clarify how to keep the service active. Under the Terms of Service, Paragraph 9 Section C-iv.,
"At any time, if the Customer does not place an out-going call using the Service for a period of ninety (90) days, Fongo has the right to cancel the Service and recall the telephone number assigned to the Customer's account. Prior to canellation of the Service by Fongo, the Customer shall receive, via email, thirty (30) days written notice of the pending cancellation. "
Has it changed to include incoming and outgoing texts or voice messages (faxes included). In other words, is the only method acceptable to keep the service alive and active still making a phone call out?

So the only way to keep the service alive is still to make a phone call. Texting does not count.

If I purchase the 6 month Canadian texting package or if I purchased World Credits , I would still have to use the phone at least once every 90 day to keep the service alive. If I did not phone someone in 90, I would lose 3 months of Canadian texting or the World Credits. Correct?

Activity- this means you have to login into your account (on the device) and either:
-make a phone call
-send a sms
-receive a call
-receive an sms
If your account is not used, team will send you an email notification- to let you know.
I hope this clarifies.
Thanks,
