Certified Account Process?

Post by Disco Makberto »

Hi, there!

It has been said elsewhere in this forum, regarding the certified account process:

"Certification
This is NOT purchasing a configuration file, this is a free process which includes calling in and verifying your address information with us."

How do I verify my address with Freephoneline? Does Freephoneline verify this via a credit card? Is there a charge for this verification?

There is absolutely no charge, all you need to do is call us and give us your Freephoneline number, then verify your 911 address to your residence.

Admin says,

"...then verify your 911 address to your residence."

Please be so kind to excuse me, but I don't completely understand this. By verification, do you mean that I have to call FreePhoneLine and tell you something like this, "My address registered with FreePhoneLine is "Street 1 Avenue 1" and this is the same address where I live."? Is that all? Again, I wouldn't mind giving you my credit card details so that you can verify via credit card, or even donate $1.00 for a better process.

We call you :)
When you first login to the softphone and agree to the certification agreement window, you're put in a call-back list. We have some outbound agents who take care of going through this list for so long each day and calling people back to verify details.

Speaking of a better system!
One is on the way for this! We're working to automate a lot more of our processing to cut down on the leg work. Ie. billing, certification, etc. The certification system has just had some wonderful initial progress and should begin programming very shortly!

FPL Steve says,

"We call you :)

Which, in turn, means that I would need to call you back if the system is set up as voicemail only. If that is the case, do you leave something like a letter/number code on the voicemail so that I can repeat this code while calling you back?

FPL Steve continues,

"Speaking of a better system!

Two thumbs up!

Please let me rephrase my question for a simple answer that I hope can be provided.

Okay, either when I call you or when you call me to verify my account so as to make it certified, what info do I need to have on hand to give it to you? I am at loss here.

Certification is merely for 911 service - You would need your address (911/Street Address).
