I am using FPL for almost a year, everything worked fine until recently (maybe some time last week) that I could not receive incoming calls. I used my cell phone to dial my FPL number, once connected I hear "The person you try to reach is not available, please leave a message" right away and I am sent to FPL voice mail. Meanwhile I can hear my FPL phone rings and answer machine announces welcome message right away.
In order to do some troubleshooting, I installed a Windows application on my Windows XP (I have PC's firewall turned off), I changed my router's port forward setting to forward UDP 6060 and 13000 to this PC. I used a tool http://portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm to verify and confirmed the port is opened to my PC.
I ran the FPL application, logged in and "Test Connection", eventually it reported that "Timeout expired!" possible reason ports 6060 and/or 13000 blocked or used by other process. I used TcpView (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/Sysi ... 97437.aspx) and confirmed only FPL is using the ports, and as I mentioned above these ports are opened properly.
Anybody could help? I think I have done everything correctly.

Do you mean 6060, or 5060?

I set to use 6060, because the windows soft phone complains about 6060 and 13000 ports.BCITMike wrote:Do you mean 6060, or 5060?

Are you using an ATA or Desktop FPL?
If you are using an ATA, there's a different setup and you need UDP port 5060 to register.
Please let me know.

Re: FPL Service has Issue Now?
I have trouble with my ATA recently as I indicated in my original post, I can see the incoming phone number but FPL sends caller to voice mail right away.Fongo Support wrote:Are you using an ATA or Desktop FPL?

I try to troubleshoot the problem so I also installed PC soft phone. I have my router set to forward 5060 to my ATA and 6060 to my soft phone. But my soft phone always complains 6060 and 13000 not opened, I could not make call or receive call with my soft phone at all.

Please send me a PM with the telephone number associated with your account and I will check at the back end.
You can also verify your ATA settings against the FPL guidelines:
