I have had a recurring issue (since the New Year when many issues seem to have started with FPL service)...
Basically, the service is working fine, and I will be on a call... and then the call will suddenly drop.
If I then hang-up and go to dial again, I get a dial tone for a second or two, and then the line goes dead. I can repeat this over and over. Occassionally, things seem to stabilize and I'm able to make a call, but usually the call drops after a short time and things go back to being dial tone then dead again. Eventually, the issue "goes away" after a period of time.
he issue has self-resolved after about 40 minutes (service was messed up from about 2:00 to 2:40PM EST today). I did switch the server a couple times and reboot the ATA, etc... but don't think that really was the "fix".
The fact this seems to be a recurring problem makes we wonder if anyone else has experienced this issue??? Is this just a FPL server issue, or could it be a local setup issue (which would seem strange considering how stable the service usually is).
Thanks!
PS - I also have a minor issue where people can't hear me for the first couple seconds of a call. Any tips to resolve this are appreciated (I have seen tips for this for other routers/firmwares than mine).
I have a Cisco SPA112, and a Linksys WRT310N router running DD-WRT.
Phone gives dial tone then dies within seconds ?
