Please help, no audio from other side
I have a SPA112 ATA device with the latest 1.3.1 firmware installed. I have a Linksys EA4500 router with Teksavvy internet. I set up using the credentials provided. I get a dial tone and all, but when i call someone, i can't hear the other party. The call goes through and the other party can hear me and all, but i can't hear them. Could you please help me?

Re: Please help, no audio from other side
I encountered the same problem this morning. It was working last night.
I tried:
1) Power cycling router and SIP device -- no change
2) Disabled ALG and firewall -- no change
3) Moved SIP I.P. to DMZ -- no change
4) Disabled/Enabled port forwarding of ports 5060, 16384-16482 -- no change
3) Changed Proxy server to: voip2.freephoneline.ca -- this fixed my problem
I am not sure why using the primary proxy cause the audio to behave the way it does.
Using the I.P. or switching the proxy server usually corrects the issue.
Good luck.

Re: Please help, no audio from other side
nafizur, i am curious to know if changing to voip2.freephoneline.ca helps ? I am in the same boat (very very similar to your config). I have :
- SPA122 ATA (flashed with the latest firmware already)
- Linksys EA6400 (latest firmware)
- Teksavvy cable for internet
I tried everything last night from #1 to #4 mentioned in teresone's response with the exception of changing to voip2.* So, I have to end up wiring from cable modem to a switch first. then from the switch to my ATA directly. (essentially bypassing the EA6400).
I will give the voip2.* a shot tonight. But this is absolutely strange if it works. Perhaps someone in freephoneline support can shed some lights ...

Please send me a PM with your settings and I will have a look. The line should work the same no matter what server you are using.
I am guessing that ATA has a setting that prevents the audio to route properly.
Thanks,

I just got my unlock key last week and had the same problem. Changing to voip2.* solved the problem.

Re: Please help, no audio from other side
Yes. I was going to reply to this chain with a summary of the exchange between me and Fongos support. First of all, a big thank you to the support folks to help out.
While changing to voip2.* works for me as well, the support folks looked into my account. After they do a "reset" of my account, it now works with both voip.* and voip2.*. I am not entirely sure why, but my theory is that there is some stale information that didn't got flushed after I ported my numbers over to my old phone number. Since I have never registered with voip2.* prior to the port, that might explain why I am able to use voip2.* with my ported number but not voip.*. The "reset" or whatever magic the support folks did with it likely flushed out the stale data and allow my account to start anew with both servers.
My suggestion is to send a PM to fongos support (they will reply promptly), make a reference to this email thread, and ask for a reset of your account with FPL.
Hope this helps.
