Fongo powers free calling solutions for a number of brands. This forum includes information and tips on all of those offerings. Note that your specific services may vary based on the specific Fongo product that you're using.
I just signed up with Fongo on my iPod touch 5g (works great, btw), then I went to my Acer tablet and I got an error message saying something like "due to Apple TOS you can't use this account on both devices, since you signed up on an ios device first". I have an account with another wifi calling app that works on both, both ring at the same time. Is there a way around this?
The only way to use one account on two devices (BTW you will never be able to properly use the same account on two devices at the same time) is to sign up in any way apart from on the iDevice. Any account registered initially on an iDevice hcan only be used with iDevices.
If you sign up though the Android device, or online via their website, you can use the accounts on an iDevice or Android. This will obviously mean you have to sign up for a new account however.
Oh, thank you for letting me know. That's kinda annoying. What if I had the account transferred from the iDevice to the Android, then used it again on the iDevice. Would that work? I think I read the support team can transfer the accounts.
I don't believe the account can be transferred. What you can try is to set up up new account on the Android and then forward the iDevice number to the new one while people get used to the new number.
Remember you can only use the account on one device at a time. If you try and log in somewhere else it will just keep logging the other one out.
On the ipod go to 'account -> settings' and you will see where you can set up call forwarding. Try and add in the number for your Android so when someone calls the number it will be forwarded on. (I say try because you can't always forward to a Fongo number)
I think personally I would just ditch the number you have and set up a new account, unless you have grown very attached to the number that is. Or I would keep the account on the iPod and set up a new one for the Android.
In a perfect world Apple wouldn't put on these silly restrictions - but then they wouldn't be Apple, would they.

Well I just signed up so the number means nothing, but I had paid for 3 months of texting on the iDevice. Any way to get refunds on that?
I don't think so, sorry.
You could try send a message to a Fongo staff member (names are in Green), but I don't think they are able to move credit especially if there is nothing really wrong their end.
