Desktop version of Freephoneline disconnects about 30 secs

Post by toyj »

Hello,

I've downloaded the Windows Desktop version of Freephoneline and it always disconnects about 30 seconds into the call. I've downloaded the same Windows app onto 3 different PC's in the period of March and April and it is the same...the call drops about 30 seconds into the call. Can someone please reply back with a solution after an investigation? Thank you.

FPL Windows Desktop v3.2.6

(2013-04-27): Problem fixed

Problem solved when FPL Windows Desktop v3.2.6 connect to: voip2.freephoneline.ca

You have to add two entries in the "hosts" file located at C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc

208.xx.xxx.165 voip2.freephoneline.ca
208.xx.xxx.165 voip.freephoneline.ca

Since moderator do not want us to post "public" IP :? (mod, you know what mean public?), you have to find it by your own.

How to find an IP from a hostname?

1. If you are using Windows, open a command prompt and type: nslookup voip2.freephoneline.ca

OR

2. go to this website hostname lookup
