Re: unlock key
Fongo doesn't offer an unlock key anymore.
Fongo now has Home Phone, where you pay a $4.95 monthly fee for access.
FPL offers the Unlock Key where you pay a one time $50 fee for access.
Either way you will have to buy an ATA so the only real difference is how much support you get. Fongo will help you sort it out, with FPL you have to rely on you and any help you can get from here and other forums.

I am just a volunteer here on the forum, I don't actually work for Fongo.mohnashaat wrote:thank you for ur reply

Send a support question using one of the links in my signature, they might tell you.
My guess will be that they won't fix it directly. I believe that someone once said there was an app that allowed you to move programs that didn't let you normally. It might be worth spending a few minutes Googling for the app - I don't remember the name I'm afraid.

Re: unlock key
I was just wondering, if I purchase the unlock key, can I still use the app on the computer?

Yep, I just checked with one of my accounts. You can't use both at the same time, it's one or the other. But you can switch between the two.docfou wrote:I was just wondering, if I purchase the unlock key, can I still use the app on the computer?

Re: unlock key
So I can still use the Freephoneline program on the computer and also use a different app on the phone as well and box at home so long as I don't use them all at the same time (i.e. only turn on only the app/device that I want to use while the others are off).
Thanks
Thanks

Re: unlock key
Yes, basically. As I mentioned you might get problems when you first switch things around, but that will only be with incoming calls and it should sort itself out pretty quickly.docfou wrote:So I can still use the Freephoneline program on the computer and also use a different app on the phone as well and box at home so long as I don't use them all at the same time (i.e. only turn on only the app/device that I want to use while the others are off).

The app on your phone that you mention - This I assume is a SIP phone app, not the fongo app (as the fongo app won't work with FPL registrations).
In a real world example you could - run the FPL on an ATA when you are at home, have CSipSimple running on your Android phone when traveling around, and the desktop app running on your laptop when you are at hotels/airports/Mcds. Remembering to unregister each device before registering the next one. If you do forget it will 'work' to a point. The problem will be when a call comes in. If you are lucky it will ring whatever device last tried to register (each device will try and re-register every 60 minutes or so depending on how they are set up). It could be that the system does not send the call through though.
If you are thinking of using it in multiple places, it might be worth setting up various accounts. It all depends on what your needs are. For example you could -
Set up your ATA with the account with the FPL Unlock Key.
Set up a (free) Fongo account on your cell.
Set up another (free) FPL account on your computer with the desktop app.
In the online admin for the main FPL account you can set up simultaneous ringing so it ring the ATA, fongo app, and desktop app at the same time. This way you won't have to worry about switch devices on and off. Again, it all depends on how you need things to work.
