Ideally what I would like is to register two SIP devices - my cell phone's SIP phone app and my home phone ATA - but according to the forums FPL does not support multiple devices (http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9532). So I am prepared to purchase the SIP information for two FPL numbers, one for my cell phone's soft phone and one for my home phone ATA, but I would like to forward them both to my cell phone so I can answer calls when the SIP devices might not be connected. Unfortunately, I understand that FPL will also not allow this directly (http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9532 and http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=1795), so I was going to use the workaround of forwarding FPL#1 to my cell phone and forwarding FPL#2 to FPL#1, according to the setup described in these posts (http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9446 and http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=9420 and http://forum.fongo.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=9532).
I have purchased the SIP information for FPL#1 and it is configured and working great as my home phone and also forwarding to my cell phone. I have signed up for a second FPL#2, however whenever I try to set the Follow Me number for FPL#2 to forward to FPL#1, the system tells me FPL#1 is already being used as a forwarding number. I am not using FPL#1 as a forwarding number - although many months ago I did briefly used it as a forwarding number before transferring the number to FPL from an alternate provider - so unless someone else is forwarding their calls to my number I thought I should be able to setup this configuration.
Is there any way to get two FPL numbers to forward to the same third number - without resorting to pbxes.org?

The first topic you refer to does actually go through the fact forward one FPL number to another. You are correct that a few years ago they didn't allow this, but things have changed now. I tested it a while ago and was able to enter another FPL number.
Your other problem is probably related to the number still being stuck in a database somewhere. They do only allow one account to forward to one number, but what you can do is daisy chain them by forwarding the first number to the second, and the second to the third. I believe this is what you are looking for, and unless they have changed it again in the past few weeks you should be able to forward the numbers as you want.
If you are still getting the error of it already being used, then open a support ticket and then PM Fongo Support (links in my signature) and they should be able to sort it out for you.
