ipod 5th generation problems

The initial install went well, it seemed to pull my contacts over okay, I loaded some friends into my favorites, everything was wonderful, until I turned off my ipod. When I tried to relaunch the app after powering up, it said there was an initialization problem and if the problem persisted to download the newest version of the software again from the itunes store. It seems everytime I turn off my ipod, if I don't first log off from fongo from the application before shutting off my ipod, I get an initialization error when I try to re-launch the program and must reload the program and start over. My contact list disappears and it seems I have no history of any calls that I made or received from the application. If I Log Off from the application, then turn off my ipod, turn on my ipod and reconnect... it seems to work just fine. This seems like it is just a little coding glitch that could be corrected easily... right? I really love the app, I hope you can resolve this. Thanks, I await your comments and suggestions.
