Please note that we will only provide support for the recommended dial plan provided in your account SIP settings. The tips above are a "use at your own risk" basis. If you use them and can't figure it out or get things working, we will not provide phone/email support for the issues. We will simply tell you to use the dial string in your account because it's tried, tested and true
Here are some dial string tricks you can use if you would like:
For outgoing to one number only, as well as normal for incoming.
(S0<:5190000000>)
Injects the number in between the <:> before dialing out <-- Will dial that IMMEDIATELY when you pick up.
-------------------------
Dials any number specified within the brackets + 11 to dial right away.
[49]11S0
Any numbers in between the "[ ]" are automatically prefixed with "11" -- say [469}11S0 dials 411, 611, and 911 right away.
-------------------------
Speed Dial to SIP ID & regular PSTN or VoIP number.
ADD TO EXISTING DIAL PLAN -- > EXAMPLE AT BOTTOM
<1:10000000000@00.000.000.00:5060> for SIP <-- 5060 is just the port their using you can change it
OR
(911|<1:10000000000> for PSTN/VoIP/Other
Dials a SIP number when you press the specified number sequence (everything here is interchangeable). -- Pressing 1# (or whatever you like), will dial the following SIP address.
10000000000 is 1 + the 10 digit number you want to have as speed dial.
With an analog phone (or any) on a Linksys device:
Separate all of your new code by a | so no two | are in a row.
Speed dials will look like this:
(911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.|<1:15190000000>|<2:15190000000>|<3:15190000000>|<4:15190000000>)
Notice now I added the speed dials AFTER your existing dial plan, and separated them by a |.
You can modify the speed dial number by changing the number "1" after the "<" in the individual speed dial string --> <1:15190000000>

Re: Dial Plan Tricks and Ideas for Sipura Dial Plans
I did not get the results I wanted. I am using a PAP2. These are the settigns I started out with.
(*xx|[3469]11|0|00|[2-9]xxxxxx|1xxx[2-9]xxxxxxS0|xxxxxxxxxxxx.)
This is your script. I substituted 519 for 902 though, so it will work in Halifax.
(911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.|<1:15190000000>|<2:15190000000>|<3:15190000000>|<4:15190000000>)
And this is what I put together. It did not mess anything up, but it does not do anything either. What did I do wrong? Thanks!

Your issue here is that Halifax is not in our On-Net, or 'Free Calling' area, for a complete list see here.

That allows access to voicemail and the ability to use ATA specific calling features that start in 6x or 7x.user451 wrote:Curious what are the following for In the FPL supplied dial plan? 98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.

Re: Dial Plan Tricks and Ideas for Sipura Dial Plans
I assume that the 98* is to access voice mail, however the system responds "this call is not covered by your tariff plan." Is that until I deposit a credit?
My second follow up question, concerning dial plan section [6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx. Once again, the system responds "this call is not covered by your tariff plan." What are these features, and where are they identified, described, or explained? Thank you kindly in advance for your responses.
