spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone. I do however get my voice mail. When I see missed call, I will dial *98 and the voice mail will be there. I have spent hours searching forums and checking my settings, but I can not see any problem with programming. I thought that I read somewhere that when you receive a voicemail, a code will be sent to the ata which sets a flag to the voice mail indicator. (don't know this for sure) does freephoneline send this code? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
As far as I am aware...yes FPL sends the tone and this is how we are notified of a message.
Been looking on the web myself but really cant find much other than having it turned ON on Line settings.
You can check you Regional Settings to ensure you have the Tones set, but I believe in your case you did a Firmware upgrade so everything should be at default which should make it work.
I have the tone settings here in case yours maybe different.
Regional:
Dial Tone
350@-19,440@-19;10(*/0/1+2)
MWI Dial Tone:
350@-19,440@-19;2(.1/.1/1+2);10(*/0/1+2)
If you cant get Notifications I would perhaps request a Support Ticket if they could check your line. Maybe something is hung in your line with FPL not sending the code.

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
Thanks hanke
I am sure my codes are set up the same as yours, but I will check it in the morning and perhaps take out a ticket. I manually set the message waiting flag and it works, but of course it stays on all the time that way. I found this in the manual that cisco has online .
"VMWI Ring Policy The parameter controls when a ring splash is played when a the VM server sends a SIP NOTIFY message to the ATA indicating the status of the subscriber’s mail box. Three settings are available. Default setting: New VM Available
•
New VM Available: Ring as long as there new voicemail messages.
•
New VM Becomes Available: Ring at the point when the first new voicemail message is received.
•
New VM Arrives: Ring when the number of new voicemail messages increase
I will also check this out tomorrow

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
I have submitted a ticket, but no reply to #27977.
I discovered that I do get VM indications and stutter, but it takes 3 and 1/2 hours to get it and now that I have deleted them, the indication will not clear. Maybe in time it will, but not anytime within reason. Will fongo support please look into this at your end.
Thanks prc

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
I am having the same problem. It takes more than 12 hours for the VMI to activate or deactivate. Last night I had several messages on my two lines but the MWI was still off. I listened to my messages and deleted them. This morning, on both lines, the MWI is on, but there is no message.
This is an issue that plagued FPL for a long time but it was fixed some months ago. Unfortunately, the problem seems to have returned. Very frustrating, indeed.

Can you please confirm that you are running this Firmware below on your ATA?

Let me know.

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
No I do not have that firmware version. I have 1.3.1.(003) Dec. 17 2012 I had upgraded as soon as I got my ata and the place I got it from said it was the latest version(obviously it wasn't). I will upgrade now and let you know.

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
I updated the firmware and I changed the DNS Server Order to Manual-DHCP and the Primary and Secondary DNS as per supports sugestions and neither has rectified the problem. ????

Re: spa122 no VM indicator or stutter tone
I was away for a few days and did not have time to set it to factory defaults and re-program, as per Fongo Support suggestions. It used to take about 3 hours to register and 6 hours to clear. All of a sudden it is working without me doing anything to it. (one minute to register and three minutes to clear). Something must have been done at FFL's end. The issue is now fixed. Thank you for your responses and suggestions.

This is to confirm that I made no changes on your account. I think that the setting that really helped was changing the DNS servers.
Thanks,
