Hello,
What is the official word on whether or not we need to use an Outbound Proxy? I have a Linksys SPA2102, and was helping a friend setup FPL on a Linksys PAP2T-NA, and they were able to make outbound calls, however for incoming calls, they would hear the phone ring, and then would answer but neither party could hear one another. I compare the configuration to my SPA2102, and I have "Use OB Proxy In Dialog" to YES, so on the PAP2T, I set "Use Outbound Proxy" as YES, and everything now works great.
The instructions in the SPA2102 set this should be YES, but on the PAP2T-NA for some reason, the configuration instructions say to set "Use Outbound Proxy" is set to NO.
Do we know why this is? Do the configuration instructions need to be updated to reflect this? Has anyone else been successful with a PAP2T with this set to NO?
The user is on Videotron, whereas I am on ElectronicBox cable, if this makes a difference
