Should I upgrade firmware for my PAP2T-NA?

Post by donx »

My ATAs come with the old factory firmware 3.1.15(LS), not sure I need to upgrade or not.

The call quality has been great, wife had a phone call for over 40 minutes without any issue. We used to have Rogers Home Phone, can't feel any difference for the call quality. :)

So I am kind of pondering about whether I should take such a hassle to do the upgrade.

Anybody tried upgrading firmware and if so, did you notice any improvement?

Thanks.

'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

I don't believe the firmware did any changes to address call quality, it was mostly technical fixes and features.

Sounds good, thanks for the answer Steve!

All I need is simple calls, no need for any fancy features, etc, so I will leave it as is for now then.

No prob!
If it does what you need, then I'd say it's perfect to leave as-is :)
