Hi,
My phone number port was supposed to go through today and right now neither my old land line or my freephoneline.ca phone seem to be working. With the freephoneline.ca phone I get a dial tone, but whenever I try to make a call I get the message “This account number is not valid”. I am currently using an OBi100. On the freephoneline.ca website they say that my old phone will continue to work until the port is complete, but I don't even get a dial tone on my landline right now. I am wondering if this is normal? Are there any settings in my OBi100 that I need to update, I don't see any place to enter a phone number in the setup.
Thanks, any help is appreciated!

Re: Phone Number Porting Question
When you port your number in you need to update the username inside your ata. It used to be your FPL number, but it needs to be changed to your ported number including the initial 1.
I don't have an obi ata, so you will have to dig through a setup walk through, or dig in your manual. Someone else might be able to help also of course. It definitely needs to be updated though.

Great, everything is working now. I didn't realize the user ID was just my phone number. Thanks a bunch!

Re: Phone Number Porting Question
No problem, glad it's all working again.
On a side note, you should have got an email from them saying the port was complete. Maybe it went into a spam folder?
