need Victoria, BC phone number

Before I sign up for Fongo Home Phone I need to know if phone numbers are available in Victoria? I don't see Victoria on the BC list although it is on the free calling list. If I have a phone number from Vancouver are all incoming calls from Victoria going to be long distance for the caller? This is a rather crucial issue for me. Does anybody have this information. I can find no way of getting in touch directly with Fongo. I belong to OpenMedia and am investigating all ways to avoid the big telecoms.

Unless I get corrected, I do not believe you can currently get a Victoria, BC number from Fongo. You can call Victoria for free though.

This is my personal opinion, but I believe the reason Fongo does not have a Victoria BC number, is because of politics. Same here in Nova Scotia. Fongo does not have a Halifax number, but Bell has 3 exchanges in a rural community that has 800 people, tops. Two of the exchanges popped up in the last 3 years. We have less than a million people here, but they want to put in a new area code! Maybe Fongo will get a Halifax exchange then!

Bridonca is right, there is no Victoria BC numbers. This is a list of numbers they offer (although I don't know if it gets updated).
