My questions are:
1. I want to transfer my Bell number to FPL, I know that it is OK after I pay 25CAD. However, I already have a FPL number and I want to keep it. Is this posible that I keep 2 FPL number meantimes?
2. What is the difference between FPL without monthly fee and Fongo with 4.99CAD monthly fee?
Thanks.

Re: Transfer my Bell number to FPL
1. If you want to keep your existing FPL number, then you have to set up a new account (which will give you another temporary number) and then port your number into that account.
2. With FPL you pay a one time fee of $50, and then you are pretty much on your own apart from the help you can get here on the forum. With Fongo you pay a one time fee, and then a monthly fee - but you get official support. Basically if you are OK with rolling up your sleeves then FPL is probably right for you, but if you just want to plug and play, then Fongo is probably right for you.
Other than that, you get the same free calling areas and the same choices of numbers.

Thanks for your reply and help.
Today my Bell number transfered to FPL and it works now. What should I do next? Need I to call Bell for something?

You will probably find that Bell has already cancelled your account, as they don't have a number for you now. A phone call to them to double check would not be a wasted call however.qzmtl wrote:Thanks for your reply and help.

I do not believe you have to do anything. It is cancelled, and Bell will bill you on a pro rated basis. A lot of the 30 day notice nonsense does not apply when it comes to ports, but knowing Bell, they will try to sock you with a bill. But I do not see what a call to Bell will accomplish. Bell already got their notice as soon as they got a port request.

How about the long distance service provider? As I use BELL, my long distance service provider is World-link Communication. Could I continue use it?

Re: Transfer my Bell number to FPL
I did pay FPL to transfer my number from Bell and I am waiting more than 30 days already. Is it normally taking that long for transfer? I am starting to think that there is something wrong with FPL since I can't even find a phone number to call and ask what's happening....

We can't really help with that on the forum. Your best bet is to open a support ticket (see sig).nina wrote:I did pay FPL to transfer my number from Bell and I am waiting more than 30 days already.
