I noticed that when I press Talk on my phone I hear a busy tone for about a second and then the continuous dial tone. As a result of this I have to press Talk first, wait for dial tone, and dial the number.
When I use Bell landline, the dial tone is immediate after I press Talk, so I can dial the number first and press Talk.
I'm using Speedtouch 780.
Is there any settings to keep my dial experience, i.e. no need to wait for dial tone, dial the number and press Talk and get connected?
Thanks a lot.

Re: Busy tone before dial tone
LOL, I think that tone means you have a voicemail.
I may be wrong but, once you check your mail that tone will go away.
Im just going off of previous phone provider, I dont know if FPL is the same.

Actually I have to delete it using *98. The busy tone disappears. If delete from desktop application, the busy tone still reminds you there is voicemail even though it's deleted.
