20 gig cap? fact or fiction

Post by kevingamble »

It has been suggested on this forum that there is no monthly cap in place for dsl usage at this point.......... I am about to port home phone number and will have to install a dry loop ....... can anyone conform whether or not - when you call sales they inform that yes there is a cap.....
need to know as I will switch my dsl to your group of companies also if there is no cap... otherwise i will stay with acanac.
please advise..

There is no twenty gig cap - the website says no caps, and we for sure offer no caps. A discussion came up around the office about this last week and we have corrected those who may have told you otherwise.

how much and where is signup for "your" dsl? I am confused are you not the same company? What I am assuming is that you are saying there is a different tier or price plan?

http://www.freephoneline.ca/activatePhoneLines

have a look at the right side of the page under this link.

I know I know, it drives me nuts too that it's hidden under phone activations and not under DSL Signup or DSL Services or some such.

It will be a lot clearer on the new website! We've made sure of this, and I've seen some preliminary mockups.

Regarding the OP's question - freephoneline and 295 are both a part of the Fibernetics Corp. group of companies. Both cater to different markets and have slightly different pricing structures. With freephoneline, you get no-cap DSL :)
