Porting 2 numbers and confusion

Post by Dr. Cynical »

I'm porting two numbers, mine and my wife's to Fongo.

The login on the Fongo app is based upon the email address. How to differentiate the two numbers when we each use our apps on our respective devices?

Should I create a separate account for my wife and have her number transferred once porting is complete? :? :? :?

You can only have one number per account. So if you want to port in two numbers, then you will need to set up two accounts.

Initially you will get two different Fongo numbers, these will get replaced with the numbers you port in.

You can set up both accounts at the same time, and start the porting process at the same time. Just make sure you are porting the right number to the right account.

Thanks Jake.

I already have an account while my wife doesn't. Should I wait until porting is completed before I create another account for my wife and port her number over to her account?

Only if you want to see if it all goes well or not for the first one. Otherwise there is no reason why you shouldn't start the process on the other account at the same time. The two accounts are effectively unrelated to each other, even though you will own both of them.
