I am using Bell landline for home phone and DSL internet, switched DSL to smaller ISP after a few years to reduce cost. Now I like to get rid of the landline and use FPL VoIP phone. As I know I can order the number porting online through FLP for $25. it stated that it may take 10-14 days to complete.
1. I like to know the porting process, because FPL advise not to notify Bell as it will be treated as service cancellation, and makes number porting not possible.
2. Bell needs 30 days notice to cancel phone service so what will be the end date of Bell phone service after the number porting is complete.
3. ISP needs 10-15 days before the end of Bell landline cancellation to submit a request for dry loop or no internet access after the phoneline is dropped.
4. If the landline terminated before the dry loop is done do I need to re-apply for dry loop installation, how long it may take.
