Coming back to Fongo..

Post by colesy »

So my Mom recently ported back to Bell from Fongo. That all went fine except that they apparently started charging her more than what was agreed upon when they won back her business. So she wants to come back to Fongo.

What is her best option since she already has the ATA. Could she port from Bell to FPL, and pay the upfront cost for the unlock key, and then no recurring monthly costs after that?

freephoneline.ca does not have a monthly fee.

It's $25 to port the number, and $50 for the unlock key. Both are a one time fee and are plus TAX.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I assume there are docs on how to configure the ATA for FPL? I assume the service is essentially the same?

If you have already paid for one unlock key, I'm thinking that you would have received a replacement FPL number after the old number was ported out. In this case you can probably port in your Bell number on top of your FPL number that you received. Therefore you probably won't have to pay for the key once again.

Technically you could port in a new number at anytime to replace your current phone number and not have to pay for a new key fee as you only have one ATA at a time.
