I am looking for help on the issue I am experience already a few time in a couple of months of freephoneline.ca use.
As I have replaced a few devices in the same time during the move to freephoneline server I have a hard time to understand what is failing. My setup is the d-link 520B ADSL modem set up as internet point PPPoE in bridge mode (no NAT server set up). Right after modem goes OBi202 in DHSP mode with two services set. First (default) freephoneline and second google voice for outbound calls. After the OBi I have DIR655 router in DHSP mode which distribute home network.
The problem occur time to time without reason I would notice. The freephoneline service is reporting "Register failed: no response from server" (see attached screenshot). Happened at least 3 times and started to get annoying. I am badly need to find out why is it happen and fix it. I hope other than just suggestions from fellow users (which are very welcome) some support answer from a freephoneline member to get some logging information why is it happening that the device couldn't re-connect to the server. It's happen today morning again.
How I fix it... the only way I found out to make it work again is when I switch register and voip URIs from voip.freephoneline.ca to voip2.freephoneline.ca and vise versa. If I would just reboot device it won't help, if I change for example "register time" parameter and reboot it won't work. Only when I switch URLs and reboot I noticed it's starting to work. After it would work for a quiet a time (week or couple of them). It doesn't matter which URI currently set the account to.
I hope to get some help and/or suggestions.
Thank you

From what I can tell so far from your screenshot, your are pointing to backup server instead of voip.freephoneline.ca
I think you should review your settings.

Re: Register failed: no response from server
Thank you for quick response.
As I mention The only way to make it work again is to switch the server. This is why you see voip2 IP. But it doesn't matter and will happen with voip main server as well. Currently when I fixed it today somewhat about noon I have set the registrar and voip URI to voip.freephoneline.ca as it was week ago when I had the issue previous time.
"I think you should review your settings." If I would know exactly what to point my attention to, I would review. But it's hard to fix something when it works. Well till the next time. This is why I am asking for help from staff to review my account logs and what is the reason I was rejected. For example the register time is set to 360, may be it's too often and you block me? Should I try to put 1 hour? Any other suggestion?
Very appreciated your support.
Thank you.

You are right.. As per FPL guidelines
http://support.freephoneline.ca/entries ... redentials
You will need to update the interval of between registration from 60. sec to 3600 sec.
1. Open the Service Providers menu, the ITSP Profile A, B, C or D (Obi202). Obi100 & 110 has only A & B
2. Click on SIP
3. Uncheck the default
4. Change Registration period from “60” to “3600” (no double quote)
See attached.

Re: Register failed: no response from server
Thank you for suggestion.
My current value is set to 360 and sure I will try to set it to larger period of time as per your screenshot (3600). I just doubt it would help as nobody tell me this is the reason the device couldn't resisted and proceed with registration properly only after switching URLs. Do you have any access to my account? Could you look at any logging or something for today before noon/ I guess I am asking too much, but truly don't know what else to do ... I am very much fluent on the computer field, but stuck with the situation.
Is there any other settings on your mind I have to look at?
For example ... I have set up x_addressip (or something like that, don't remember exactly name) to the IPs of voip and voip2 URIs to resolve the issue with scanners. Another thing which I customize is the dial string as suggested wasn't working to access voicemail ...
suggested: (911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.)
my current (*98|911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.)
All other parameters I set up as recommended. I used the guide from here: http://blog.voipdiy.com/2013/07/obi202- ... oipms.html
Finally, if you have OBi on your own, would you please send (PM) me the exact settings for freephoneline set up (may be screenshots). I will try to copy every single one as I am out of ideas.
Thank you very much!

Please send me a PM with your account details and I will have a look.
Unfortunately I do not have an OBI, but there are a few guides here in the Forum,s that might help you.
I would start with the below:
