Do I need to give my real phone number on activation?

hi

i am registering for the "free phone line"

the only thing holding me back is tht i hav to give my real phone number for activation purposes

my question is : will i be called for activation problems only or will i be called for telemarketing purposes.etc too? as i do NOT want to get any extra calls from this service.

You will be phoned once by an automated system to enter your activation PIN for E911 purposes.

We must also keep this number on profile for 911 purposes too - so don't think of fudging it to a fake number later, because we will see

After I activated my FPL number and E911 has been certified. Now I ported my old home phone number to my cell phone. Is there any problem about E911 in future?

No, this number will now become your home phone number. e911 will remain the same
