Can't text another Fongo user.

I'm trying to test the text message function of Fongo, from an iPhone 4s to a Galaxy S3 phone. I have the latest Fongo apps installed on both, and neither has a SIM card. Each phone can call the other on Fongo. But if I try to send a text message to a Fongo user on their Fongo number from the S3, I get the message "Uh oh! You are currently not subscribed to text messaging on Fongo. ...Messaging is always free to other Fongo users!".

If I try sending a message on Fongo (v.3.06.167) from the iPhone, I get no such error message. It appears to work, since my message shows up in the message thread with a green checkmark next to it. But the Fongo app on S3 (v3.0.9.57) receives no message (even though it can receive Fongo calls).

If you just opened the account today it might not work right away.

Thanks, I contacted support but I've already solved the problem by downgrading to version 3.08. Now I can send text messages no problem. This is why I am always wary about updating my apps.
