Can I change a new phone number

Post by Pixie »

I am a existing pay customer with freephoneline.
I'm wondering if you guys provide such services and how much is it if so.

Unfortunately they don't allow you to change your number.

There isn't much you can do apart from either set up a new account and buy the $50 unlock key, or set up a new account and forward your new number to your old one. The second way won't cost you anything, but the downside is all outgoing calls will still have your existing number.

Personally I think if they could automate it smoothly enough, setting up a system where people could change their number (for a fee) it would provide a nice little extra income for them.

Thanks for your reply.
My number got a lot of SPAM and I really want to block them.
Is there anyway to block the old number from ringing if I do forwarding as you suggested?

No sorry. I understand what you are trying to do though as I have had a lot of nonsense calls on a couple of my numbers.

If you are receiving a lot of harrasing calls, contact your local law enforcement agency.
If it is telemarketers, tell them to put you on their do not call list and register for the national do not call registry.
