Dial plan

Post by fan »

The dial plan is (911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.)
Can you let me know what the last part ([6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.) is for?
Does FPL support blocking my number? Do I need to add |*xx| to the dial plan?

Here's a breakdown for you:

(911|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1xxxxxxxxxx|011xxxxxxxxxxxx.|98*|[6-7]x*xxxxxxxxxxx.)

Allows 911
Allows any number to be dialed 10 digit length beginning with 2-9
Allows any number to be dialed 11 digit (for support within South America where 011 does not qualify as it technically still within our NPA +1; such as Jamaica.
Allows any 011 call to be placed with maximum of 12 digits in addition to 011
Allows *98 to be dialed
Allows any 6-7+whatever number of digits to be dialed which permits use of ATA specific calling features, Such as callwaiting diabled, call return, etc…..

Thanks Steve,
In pap2T specific calling features, *67 to hidden call display. I tried to dial *67416xxxxxxx. It is not working. still show my FLP number.

Another question, can I insert a pause in dial plan? Did a lot of research in Google but did not get any idea.

For the pause, here it is:

<0:0P5>PHONENUMBER|

I'm going to assume you would like to dial an extension with a speed dial?... Here it is!:

|<2:<0:0P5>15190000000>| -- I've not gotten a chance to test this so if you could and pass me the results it would be great!

Not working. I also tried some similar string. sometimes it return a busy sound. Sometimes it says "this call is not covered by your plan."

I'm going to this that this string
<2:<0:0P5>15190000000>
Is too much a cluster-somethingrather for the Linksys to interpret, I do know however it's something to that affect there, I have one last string that I'd like to trying out; keep in mind this is about as basic as you can go:

<2:14164772010*******2>

I haven't used this one at all, but by what you've explained here is you want a speed dial to dial a phone number + someones extension and that is exactly what this is designed to do.
