Hi, I am new here and have a question.
Yesterday I replaced the dead PAP2T-NA with WRTP54G and then found that Freephoneline takes about 10 to 12 seconds to complete a call. I called my freephoneline number from my cell and connection time is about 10 seconds as well. Couldn't figure out why. Thanks for any input.

Re: Long Connection Time
IF you dial # after the number dialed, and it dials faster, you might have to adjust the ATA's dial string to add S0 to it.
Try this for a dial string.
(*xx|911S0|1xxxxxxxxxxS0|[2-9]xxxxxxxxxS0|0xxxxx.)
You can find the dial plan field on the Linksys WRTP54G by following these instructions.
1. log into your router
2. go to Voice menu
3. near the top right corner click on "Admin Login"
4. on the same horizon at the centre click on "switch to advanced view"
5. Dial Plan field can be found near the bottom of the page in Line 1 and Line 2 menu.

Re: Long Connection Time
Thanks. The dial plan on both devices is same. Don't know why, but next day PAP2T-NA was working again.bridonca wrote:IF you dial # after the number dialed, and it dials faster, you might have to adjust the ATA's dial string to add S0 to it.
