When people try to call - goes straight to VM - (I am in Ottawa). Have confirmed with my Dad who is in Chatham Ontario and a freeephoneline user that the same issue is occurring.
It is also occurring with my cell phone - in which I have the Fongo app with its own phone number.
I would also like to add for Fongo/freephoneline staff that when I go online to check my "sip status" - it shows that my ATA is "disconnected".
This of course is not true because my ATA says "online" - and I can make outgoing calls.
This is also true for my Dad's ATA - being that when we check the status by signing in to the freephoneline account - it says the ATA is disconnected.
So perhaps the issue lies in the registration process for ATA's on the system.
Please post to this forum that this is an issue at the moment, and perhaps update the http://status.fongo.com/ webpage. - so that users are aware it is a FONGO issue.

Re: Calls straight to VM - device shows "not registered"
I am having exactly the same issue (in Toronto) with my partner's phone.
All incoming calls go directly to voice mail, I can make outgoing calls and my Sip Settings say it am disconnected. Also, in the Call Log, the failed incoming calls are listed as "Destination out of order".
Note: Problem fixed. I went into the ATA and changed the SIP Server setting to 'voip2.freephoneline.ca'
Thanks for the tip from jairolevi

Thanks for posting your solution.
Unfortunately for me - changing to voip2.freephoneline.ca did not work - calls still going to VM.

Re: Calls straight to VM - device shows "not registered"
I'll ask the obvious questions and hope that FPL forum mod's can answer the best they can;
1)if switching to voip.freephoneline.ca or voip2.freephoneline.ca gets your ATA registered (via freephoneline.ca account), does this mean that they are interchangeable with sip.fongo.com?
2)Any advantages between the three?
3)When sip.fongo.com server gets corrected, can those affected switch back to this sip server?

Bighead, it's not the proxy you change, but the main sip server.bighead wrote:same here, changing proxy to voip2 did not work.

you should open some ports in your router and use voip.freephoneline.ca
