Device Not Registered
I have two FPL accounts and 2 different ATA devices (both Grandstream). Everything has been working fine for months then this morning for no apparent reason both have gone "device not registered". I have rebooted. Checked interent access. And was able to get into them by the IP. I made no changes and this afternoon, one of the lines came up. The other is still saying "device not registered" and I am unable to use it. Any help wouod be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

And it's back on line. Seems to me everytime I finally post in the forum 5 minutes later it works. Perhaps I should post here sooner.

Re: Device Not Registered
I think sometimes ATAs seem to get stuck, and only seem to correct themselves after the next registration period which could be up to an hour. I think to be safest when this happens it is probably best to switch the ATA off for an hour or so to let everything calm down.
I don't know why it happens, or even if this is what happens, but I do read a lot of times that people say they reboot and nothing happens but after a while it seems to fix itself. To me that would suggest some sort of timeout reset either server side or on the ATA.

Re: Device Not Registered
The behavior of my phone is a little different:
I've been getting "Device Not Registered" at least 4 times over the last week. It's when I haven't used it in maybe 8 hours or so, either first thing in the morning or when I come home from work. I reboot the ATA and the device immediately registers.
Is there a timer that might be causing this? Or would you also recommend powering down the ATA for an hour in this case?

Hi there,
Please be advise that there is an issue at this time affecting Fongo mobile only.
If you have Freephoneline/Fongo home phone it should work with no issues.
I suggest to power off ATA as outlined here:
http://support.fongo.com/home
Please try and let me know.
Thanks,

Re: Device Not Registered
I just had this morning the same problem. I have 2 freephoneline accounts both on my OBI202. One was disconnected the other was connected. resetting the ATA (even unplug the power) did not solve the problem, it always showed one account registered the other not ( I did not have any problem for more than a month before). I changed the server to voip2.freephoneline.ca on the account without registration (the other is left as before to voip.freephoneline.ca) and now both are registered. Both accounts had same settings (except of course user and password).

You can check the Obi logs- I suggest to fully power off your Obi for 20-30 minutes and it will work.

Re: Device Not Registered
Thanks. I went and set back the registration server to the default one (voip.freephoneline.ca), reset ATA and now it works. I suppose keeping the ATA off longer, like you suggested would work also (simple disconnect or reset did not).Strange that only one account had this problem, the other was OK ( OBI has 2 independent phone outputs and 4 independent SIPs).

Re: Device Not Registered
Almost made it 2 full months. This morning I woke up and it's back to "device not registered". Nothing changed. Nobody has changed anything on the network since I went to bed last night. Tried a simple unplug to reset and no luck. I even tried going in and changeing to voip2.freephoneline.ca. Same result. I really am starting to wonder if this is on my end at all? I would be happy for any kind of answer at this point.

Re: Device Not Registered
Same problem for me this morning. But switching to voip2 worked. Strange, because I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago and solved it by going the other way. My girlfriends phone had the same problem a couple of days ago.

Re: VoIP Unlock Key Credentials
Is there a way for me to have my freephoneline.ca SIP password reset?
